I've returned this radio back to it's owner. After I told him I needed more than 1 switch, he told me to just forget it, lol... Oh well, at least he's tickled pink with the receive and transmit performance it's doing now on the regular channels after the alignment.

Got it... It was D82 shorted out due to a shorted C134 capacitor. Replaced the cap first, still no beep, checked and replaced D82, beep now works great.

The others are correct in telling you to change out that resistor to a lower value. Try 68 ohm, if still not enough key then try a 33 ohm.

Yes it makes sense, and I will check that. As far as LSB, it's perfect, no work needed on LSB. Receive and transmit are dead on frequency with clarifier centered. LSB zero beats to my yaesu 950 perfectly on frequency.
