Ground Plane Kit for I MAX2000

Where exactly does the ground plane kit with the 4 radials bent down at 30 degree get attached on the antenna bracket of the I MAX2000? At the top U bracket or on the bottom U bracket . Is it even important which U bracket has the radials ground plane kit attached ?
