A local guy runs this mic with his Lincoln II and it sounds great. I have one on an Icom 718 and really like it as well. They come in gold, black, and chrome.
(lol just saw the post above as well)...
Lol wow I don't remember posting in this thread ten years ago. Must have gotten a little wound up about it. That said I do like Nomadradio's theory on this kind of a mod. He does it but calls it the suicide switch.
The 300p should have three switches. From left to right the first is power on/off and pre amp. The middle switch is SSB/AM. The last switch is Hi / Lo power. The older one’s were red, the newer versions are blue or black.

This has me very confused. Why would you run a mic plug into the amp? As far as jumpers, I have used 3 and 6 foot jumpers on every amp I have ever had with no problems. Here is a nice article on the KL203.

I guess it all comes down to what type of radio shopper you are. If you are strictly shopping by price and you want an un-touched radio from Amazon or a big retailor then that's what you get. I have done this, you get an ok sounding radio that you hope is on frequency and at least ballparked in...
For sale is an Alpha Delta model Delta-4B switch. Bought this on E-Bay last year and did not realize it was the "B" model so it's
up for sale. $85 shipped CONUS. PayPal is fine.
I think most had the 1969's but the 2312 was considered a slight upgrade back in the day. At some point they would probably use either depending on what parts they had available that day.
That is an excellent old school AB amp with filtering. If you don’t want it just PM me. And right now HG makes a drop in replacement for that final. If one were to blow I would put a matched quad often HG in and sell the others.
Maybe you missed this post he made. His power supply is fine.
"Yes Sir, I have a 100 Amp Power Max power supply, I've never pulled more than 45 amps and I don't want to exceed 55 if I can help it."
The talkback control is on the top just to the right of the name Stryker, it's the "mon" control.. Here is what Stryker says about their talkback control. Should be pretty simple.
Variable Talk Back ControlThe infamous talk back squeal is virtually eliminated with our independently controlled...
A local guy has been running a Quad 6 for about a month now, probably the best he has ever sounded. He has had a 2950, Galaxy 86v, and a Magnum S-45 HP. We talk mostly SSB, he loves it.
I would say that radio was born a Uniden Grant xl. Seems like a lot of work but maybe the front face got damaged beyond repair at some point and they had a parts cobra available. Who knows really
I am old school and really like my Astron 70m and 35m. If I was going to get something else I would get a Mega Watt, several locals have them and they work great.
