When you say fold it over, do you mean folding over the end and shorting it to itself to shorten it or do you mean just folding it over like a u and keeping it separated

Ive seen worse. That box could be made to run quite well with basic things/tune up. I also like that you did a fixed tuned input, that's what I do on the majority of my boxers that are smaller, there's no need for a variable tuned input for a single band box

Ok.back to the point. Is the coax shorted? Did you move the wire and rekey? Does the relay click when u key the box? 5 pages of debate about transistors and lowpass filters and YouTube, jesus guys ... Help the guy fix his box, not lecture him.

Even just a slotted piece of black abs, or poster board with double sided tape would do it

You know what would really finish this off and make it look very factory? If you could take a thin sheet of rubber or plastic and slot it to be the width of the rocker and then just sticky it in behind the panel. It will close off the gap and look factory. I have a buddy that builds amplifiers...

My buddy told me when he called galaxy they told him they were building on avg 3-5 amplifiers a day. Per. Day. That's it. That's why they are scarce currently. Repairs are behind more than that I suppose. Who knows. It's all very nebulous.

Another word about these MOSFET boards on eBay, while they may be an amplifier. Technically, most of them don't incorporate a complex bias scheme or any transmit receive switching. Bias on these MOSFETs is not as simple as a diode and resistor.

Is the roof bonded electrically or is it glued on and isolated?

Don't these newer Ford's have aluminum roofs that aren't bonded or something? I read that somewhere...
