just made a 140 mile ground wave contact with 402 Bo north of Alice TX on 395 with my POS Imax 2000 and barefoot Q5N2. Bo was doing most of the heavy lifting running 13KW through a Colossal 10K. Not too shabby for two GP's.
That sucks. I guess I need to hang on to them as spares for the two Lincoln II+'s.
Anyone know what President is using in the Washington? Vishay IRF520?

I have reported an issue that got back to Qixiang. For now, I am considering it a one off/my bad luck unless I hear of others having the same issue. But it is the most advanced "10 meter" radio to date.
I have been doing a little research in this area myself. I am trying to understand what parameters to "match" when putting together Mosfet pairs and quads.
Also, regarding the upper "operating" freq. of a Mosfet, I ran across a post from a guy who said he used to design Mosfets for Motorola...
I use Kester 24-7150-00XX (62/36/2) solder for coax connectors. A 3.3% type 44 flux for instant wetting and works well on Silver, Gold, or Nickel plating and CCA center conductors. 2% Silver content for superior conductivity. 361~374F melting range.
For PTFE Dielectric coax, I use solder type...
I am only running it mobile but so far, the 3 "best" mics that I have tried have been the 575 M6, the new Stryker NC, and the President Digimike - all 3 were very clear (like the stock mic). The Digimike seems to have the most drive with the 575 M6 a close second. I rewired the stock buttons...
