Honestly ive been quite happy with my d-rail 955. No one has ever said i sound bad, always loud, very loud and clear, maybe a little less clear if i run echo. Ive never had any of my locals say im trashing channels other than the one im on hehehe.
Theres alot of people who dont post here anymore for the usual reasons and i see some things haven't changed. Its pretty rare for me to be here other than to see whats for sale every few months and i dont financially support the site anymore.
I figured this topic was pretty far reaching in cb...
My bet is he stays west of the rockies though i know a few locals here who would like to see him try to settle somewhere in Florida, just for fun.

Ive had my drail on 955 for almost 2 years and i have no complaints. Yeah the cost was a little much but in the grand scheme of things i paid pennies on the dollar. The only douchebag who complains is hard drive and my locals wish they sounded as good.
Thats my personal experience, yours may...
I upgraded my 955 v1 power lead to a homemade 8 gauge lead and set my supply to 14.6 volts. I find i have less loss now with the new lead. I was losing 1.5 volts with the factory lead now its 3/10's of a volt loss with the 8awg. It would not be a good idea to hit your 300 with the 955 imo.
Been transmitting from Tampa daily for 40+ years mainly on 28 and was quite active local and skip. His daughter got on his radio at 6:25 this morning to break the news that he had pased at 6:22.
