I don't and i can tell you it could be a year or two before it would be finished. Im almost 2 years in but heres the story.
Before my friend, neighbor and ch28 Good Time Gang member Dirty White Boy 521 passed away he got his Gatekeeper dx1600 with WI-MOTE control and it ran great. - - - > . I...
I txt with him several times a week.
I may drive up to see him this spring. He wants my 400 amp unregulated supply and he'll build me a 400 amp regulated supply.
Heres a pic he sent a few weeks ago of a box that's almost finished
Its not just the cost of the pills but everything has to be changed. TS is using crappy dei pills and you cant just pull the dei and drop in toshibas.
Personally I would've called Carl the founder of Xforce who is back building under the Carl Built name.
And yeah, toshibas are or can be $200 +...
I spent 18 years laughing at the unknowing cb operators who brought their radios in to kens to be fixed only to get them back with all the mods taped to the lid and the radio set to 4 watts dk, 12 watts pep. I remember seeing radios with extra channel crystal kits taped to lids waiting to be...

I got your pm and Ill try to get it in the mail this week if not Monday for sure.
I wont be stymied.

Yep Ken is still there. I think he owns both blocks now. I was afraid to ask about his wife. I think she was from the Philippines. Very nice lady.
I lived a stones throw from the Kalamazoo county fair grounds and Kens is right across the street. Kens had stuff no one else had. Hes a great tech...
One store i miss is being near is Kens Electronics in Kalamazoo Michigan. If you needed it Ken had it or he would get it for you fast. I believe hes been in that location for close to 50 years.

Ken is a great guy but a little quirky. Hes a very slow and...
Im certainly not a fan of the thin cords but its not too tough to pull the plug and build up the cord diameter. I don't understand why one would make a cord that doesn't fit the connectors.
I think the weak link isnt so much the output watts being too high. My toshiba 4 pill with 100 watts peak drive makes 1k peak and the 16 2k with that same 100 watts in. That 32 driven right should make 4k with out a struggle.
I think the issue is trying to match 32 "meh" quality transistors or...
Never mind, I figured it out.
The cord diameter is much smaller than the plug end that is supposed to squeeze and keep the cord from pulling on the wires. I found building up the cord with shrink tube so the cord wasnt allowed to just flop around has solved the problem.
Looks like the Workman 3AP 16g cord has the 2 piece plug that im looking for. All the others are a molded one piece design. Id like to make a few more of these if i can find the plugs cheap enough.
