I gave up hunting for it, I'll make one too. I got them out and back in, that faceplate is a bit of a pain to get off and I've got other stuff to do, paying stuff. So to the side goes my junk.... again... and again...
But I shall take a socket tomorrow and try that, that's a pretty good idea...
Correctly, I’d say yes. I got tired of looking for the tool though, probably faster to just make one. It’s not like you can call the factory and say “hey man, how’s bout you send me one of them there funky little tools”. Might as well call it a service manual, seems as hard to get, an actual one...
No, it's from my fire victim, I was going to attempt to convert it to a 4 pin mic socket but uh, nah.
Forget finding that tool that small. I'll just make my own...

Some of us would welcome death if not for the pain it would inflict on those left behind that actually care. I imagine seeing it daily will definitely take a toll on you though.
Some people eat their emotions, I guess some buy radios - I do both unfortunately.
Agreed that you need a hobby...
But, not trying to go against you here, if you look back to post 1 he says he hadn’t used it for a few weeks. So he turns it on and has the low output issue, he then changed the mosfets and still had the same issue. To me that says that up until he changed the mosfets he hadn’t done any work to...
Well I do not know, I did not confirm that. I did confirm that jumping it (removing it actually) did work and seems to work very well.
I've never done the NPC where you've listed, I've always done it on the back of the board.
