Ya 16am is busy here too. I did manage to hear someone calling out to me but they were so deep in the grass I couldn’t get a number. They quickly faded out. Not the best conditions here.

Very true!! I really hadn’t noticed it until a local chimed in. So when I shut off the headlights he said whatever I did fixed the issue. There are aftermarket alternators that will do 110amps at idle but as kinda pricey.

Yes it’s draws pretty good on SSB on level 5 on the 503. I am going to try a big 3 mod and see if it helps. Cheapest option first. My alternator is about 2 years old…still new.

Dude they were red hot the first half!!! Then during halftime they went to a Vegas buffet and fell apart. Gonzaga cooled off enough to get ahead but nope. Oh well!! LOL

A KL503. I know it draws because as I key up at idle, the idle drops. I guess with the headlights on at idle (stop and go traffic) the alternator doesn’t have enough amps.

Finally stopped raining in SoCal. Hey we even had a EF1 tornado a few miles from me…wild!!! Called out and a local said I sounded like I was starving for power. Weird…couldn’t figure out why. Turned off my headlights and bam…full power, sounding good!! Even made a contact with a Jamaica...

Wow..that Arkansas vs UConn was disappointing. Thought it would be a little closer. Next year!! My Bruins are next!!!:cool: My stomach already hurts. LOL

I heard 561 barely above the noise floor but still made it into SoCal! Talked to 26 Missouri. He was checking out the old SSB station. I told him about the site and group. We might have a new person here!!!

Had a nice relatively long QSO with 308 Missouri. He was coming in very strong and clear as usual. Very nice fellow!

totally! Some of these smaller schools have excellent players. It’s what messes up peoples bracket. LOL Makes a cool Cinderella story when they get past the sweet 16 (not the amp). I didn’t even notice till you brought it up! Same #’s but reversed…wild!!!

Man it was a close one!!! Nothing that a “shot” won’t fix…wink wink. Sports medicine is truly an amazing thing. Was also watching USA beat Venezuela in World Classic Baseball. Two TV’s at the same time…like a sports pub!!!

I remember that first time I saw a top fueler at Pomona I was amazed!!! Those cars coming off the line and roaring by as the stands sway back and forth. You can feel the pulse on your chest too!! Walking in the pits was scary when a car would blip the pedal. Instant shock and watering...
