    Conditions are meh. Did have a contact with 138 in Ohio. Did have to have the RF gain down %30 get the hash out. After that…raise the volume and there he was. Gotta love the RF gain adjustment!!!!

    Wrapping the adjustment tool is a awesome idea!!! What a PITA adjusting to frequency. A smidge moves it 100hz in either direction at times.

    A way to seal coax connectors...

    Awesome!! Sounds like temflex. Stretches and seals like a mutha. I use Scotch 88 afterwards to seal it all up. Also temflex is not UV resistant so the 88 protects it.

    This afternoon around 5pm PST was cool!!! Made quite a few contacts. There were a bunch calling during QSO’s. On 37 and 38. Sweet!!

    Low pass filters

    If your radio is a stock 11m/cb radio there shouldn’t be much trash coming out of it. I would stall the filter after the amp towards the antenna. Even on pass through it puts out junk. Don’t get me wrong…they work great but a tad dirty.

    Hmm…I suppose you can but the manufacturer says not to connect anything besides an antenna to it. I have a 2’ handheld antenna for 11m I used to connect to the counter. It’s not sensitive enough to pick up a signal if you’re using a dummy load. I used it with the radio connected to my...
