    Coax L adapter causing issues

Those 90deg adapters can and will get loose. Cars go over bumps and stuff. I have one on the back of my radio because just like you, there is no room since the vent tube is right behind in the dash. Get some channel locks and give it a little umph. Don’t King Kong it. Just a little...

    Canadian Smoke

Yes the bark beetle is notorious in our Big Bear Mountains as well!! Black dead trees just waiting to explode. But yes terrain makes it so much more difficult. I am waiting to see what happens this year in SoCal.

    Canadian Smoke

Here in SoCal most of all the vegetation on the mountains is chaparral. Basically impossible to clear. Our local range (San Gabriel mtns.) is one of the steepest in the US. It’s basically impossible to get crews up on the side. 99% of the time our wildfires are man made. So when CalFire...

    Summer has arrived!!

@Shadetree Mechanic Yes AC for older people is VERY important. Dad who’s 85 doesn’t feel the heat too much. Wears long sleeves with sweater…even in summer. Complains that it’s cold with the AC. His circulation is obviously not what it should be. My mom who’s the same age feels the heat so...

    RFX95HD only seeing 50w peak

I ran 8ga when I had my 203 (100w) Still use that wire for my 503. Anyway your radio should pull 100w. I think you need bigger wire. Also…are you checking power levels with your vehicle off?? That’s also going to make a difference. Hope this helps!!
