The FQP3N10 produces less power while drawing more current. That's hardly a desirable feature. The Motorola mrf 477 would be a much smarter choice if you could figure out how to make it work.

A friend of mine just picked up an Icom 7300 from Gigaparts on sale for 900 bucks. I doubt it's still on sale though. Might have been a rebate. Total cost $900.00
