The Shure has a big Dynamic element and the impedance is about 175 ohms. The audio output level is very low. The plastic case is very thick. It also has a leaf switch.
There's really no similarities between the two except for the appearance.
Did you know the mold they used to create that case was virtually a direct copy of the Shure 577b? Even the rubber lip guard is interchangeable and can be ordered directly from Shure for a couple bucks.

If your antenna isn't a purely resistive 50 ohms then random cable length may act as an impedance transformer. If your antenna system is perfect, then don't worry about cable length.
I know someone needing a new transformer that scavenged up a few of those from Camp Pendleton when they replaced all the old transformers on the Base. That oil is nasty and full of PCB's.
