Only had a few moments to work skip yesterday because had to get ready for our first snow. Did make a couple contacts but seems like I have too much competition for this valley to handle well.

Made one brief contact to Iowa from the mobile today and that was it. But did notice the McKinley did seem to be bothered by the colder morning temps. Had to tweak the clarifier just a tad until the car warmed up. Time tells all Tales !

No one in here really knows you and how you operate or what you have done or not. We are just looking to try to help you. Have you taken that Galaxy 2517 out of the circuit also and still have the problem ?

I was thinking maybe he should completely take that amp out of the circuit and then test his radio for performance for a comparison. Of coarse he might only be able to do locale talk but at least see if the problem disappears. Then a little KL-203 P from Cooper Electronics is cheap to get back...

I hope someone knowledgeable chimes in to help you. I'm still sorting thru my issues but most of mine is this stinking valley. And not dedicating a life time to the radio hobby doesn't help !
