Seems to me that No One in Washington follows the values I grew up believing in.
The Rich always take advantage of the poor common person and sing a tune of BS and some are just stupid enough to believe them. Like they say The Rich get Richer !
Don't feel alone, I turned on the Cobra 2000 this morning and it was in the toilet so I didn't waste my time. When I ran for parts I turned the mobile on to check and right back off again. But I did get my coal stove finished rebuilding, put back together and reinstalled so it wasn't a wasted...
Yeah I wasn't aware of that short chassis. I would have bought a AT-5555N2 already if they didn't have their specialty mic hook up, but I need a 6 pin hook up so I could use a President BT Mike in my state. I get sick of sorting thru all the BS just to try to talk a little DX. Too many places to...
Now I'm getting cornfused with this talk about the Radioddity QT 60 and the other day I thought I heard about a Radioddity QT 80 which seamed like a rebadged Q 6666 Pro. Anybody have the scoop on the QT 80 it seamed cheaper than the Q 6666 Pro ?
There is no doubt about it hot is hot. I use to be under welding leathers & helmet in 95 degrees with with 90% humidity trying to make a buck to take care of my family so I'm no stranger to being a Sweat Hog. Or drinking cold beer. LOL
Yes weather can change really fast. We get enough snow where i am at,10 mile south of me they get less and 15 miles north of me I call it the snow belt or snow capital. But thankfully it isn't as bad as it was when I was growing up around here. Use to be snow mobiles was a hot ticket item around...
Like I said there is no Utopia. When I was stationed at Lackland AFB for basic training in Jan-March Texas had some crazy mix up weather but at least No Snow ! LOL
I have to look at the plus of Fall. I get to put another White Tail in my freezer. I made a big Crock pot of venison stew yesterday and I can eat that for 4 days. Been doing that off & on all summer. YuMMMMM. And not that many Dishes involved to wash. LOL
Fall was always my favorite But winter is too hard on the old carcass. Dealing with 2 coal stoves and ashes. Along with transporting, filling & exchanging propane tanks. And let us not forget the wood stove heat in the garage to maintain snow removal equipment so we can deal with the White Poop...
I hope that is dry heat for you at least buddy. High humidity would make that brutal. I did 110 once in southern Cally on the motorcycle and yes it was hot but it was doable because it was dry. I feel for you guys when I see them temps. Mother Nature is Whacked Out !
Radio activity pretty good today, but still no comebacks on the base stations. I'll chock it up to progress. Was in the 40s this morning and low 60s in the afternoon. That in it's self is scary for August, but my kind of temperature. No heat or AC ! LOL
Well not wishing bad luck on anyone but good to see I'm not alone with radio frustration. I don't have as much experience as some so sometimes I think maybe I expect too much out of my radios as far as if I can hear them I want to reach out and connect to them. I know I probably don't have my...
Jamaica was a big player today and once I gave up on the base stations and decided to go for groceries the McKinley swung into action. First time I ever heard Oregon in any of my radios & then Southern California come blasting in like it was next door. Never heard anything out of Texas, Florida...
I remember them days feeding a wood stove and a wood boiler furnace to heat this monster of a 2 family home. About kicked my butt. Now I have to do coal because the old bod isn't what it use to be, but love that wood heat after freezing outside all day.
It's on & off rain here also for 3 days and probably DX also. Cleaning my house in the rainy days but the old Cobra 2000 is turned on Loud and I hear it come & go like the rain. In the mean time I'm thinking of my next best move to get ready for Fall and hopefully the return of DX. Dream On...
My first radio back into CB that I made my first SSB contacts with was a 980 teamed up with a KL-200P. I still have that radio hooked up in a room next to my radio room hooked up to a Tram magnet mount antenna hanging from the ceiling. I use it to test another radios sound quality because it is...
