No no. It was from one of those SDR sites I found on youtube. The SDR site was located in Buffalo,NY. It was weird to hear the conditions coming into Buffalo from the different states as I recall a lot of the conversations from my end in comparison. I just tried to locate the youtube links and...
I found this at the ARRL dot ORG site but it was referring to a horizontal antenna over flat ground
"The dipole is a straight length of wire (or tubing) into which radio-frequency energy is fed at the center. Because of its simplicity, the dipole may be easily subjected to theoretical...
Just for clarification, Are you are referring to a beam antenna mounted horizontally 5 feet off the ground? If so, Why? Because most people I know mount their horizontal orientated antenna higher than just 5 feet. Thanks.
Maybe I should have said that all the way up that corridor starting from Alabama to Ohio and Pennsylvania I was doing 15-20 S units. Then the signal just dropped off once it hit Buffalo. Not that my signal bounced down to just those 2 states. Sorry for the confusion. I had radio reports of 15-20...
That's really weird. On Dec 4th when skip was rolling, I was on my 5 element pointing north. I have seen video gates where I am hitting Ohio and Pennsylvania at 15-20 S unit's (the videos were from both states). Yet I saw another video gate where my signal is barely 7 S units into Buffalo, NY...
I'm a little confused?? If YOUR readings on the collector are 0.6v as you posted above, where is the 5.5 coming from? Or do you mean it should be 0.6v on the collector and your reading 5.5v??
Tr37 (2sc945) I'm guessing you took your voltage measurements in receive mode? You should read (Base .70v) (Collector .10v) (Emitter 0v) Let me know what voltages your getting in transmit mode on Tr37.
For Tr38 (2sa1232) in receive mode your voltage measurements look ok. Again...
