We're "going green" at work and have been installing solar units in different locations for 12/24 VDC applications, It has been a freaking nightmare. Between the controllers, panels, and batteries, we've blown more than twice the initial investment just to keep them operational. I'm sure the...
It really depends on what it does in the circuit. 90% of the time going up in uF a small amount is not a problem, but unless it will give you a known improvement in an area, I'd up the voltage rating and keep the same uF.
Well, I find it funny because I did the exact same thing and worse I'm sure. It's not so much laughing "at him" but laughing at myself looking back at the things I did.... which actually got me to where I am now.....still making mistakes and screwing things up, just on a much larger scale...
We get a lot of parts at work in anti-static bags and bubble pouches so I bring them home. But mostly I just use the bag/pouch the components I buy come in, as the count decreases, I move them into smaller bags.
Just made a couple of good contacts on 39LSB on the ride home. 70 Jamaica and #1 equalizer in Trinidad. Motor Mouth Maul was on 28 busting it up but again, I couldn't reach him.

Built one a couple of years ago with the 100 watt version. I've never pushed it but it will handle a 50 watt radio all day with minimal heating as it is setup now. I later purchased a 1000 watt MFJ oil can type and filled it with Shell Diala S4 ZX-IG transformer oil. It handles the TS 500V & DS...
Been running a 959B for a little over a year now with the ONLY complaint being after sitting in the truck on a hot summer day the receive is extremally muffled until the AC cools her off. But it wasn't really an out of the box rig. Bought it off of eBay from cbradiospronto and it had been "...
Motormouth Maul is on 28 sounding excellent as usual. Never could reach him though, Louisiana seem to have all his attention. Did make a few contacts on 38 LSB... a couple in Cali and one in Chicago.
