    ANYTONE AT-5555N2 receive noise work-around

I would say those are from the first run. Be interesting to see if we can nail down the issue to serial numbers. Would help Anytone if they were interested.

    ANYTONE AT-5555N2 receive noise work-around

Mine with the issue ends 0490. You could think they were from the same batch? Perhaps it is something to do with the type of antenna as well. I use an ungrounded split element yagi.

    ANYTONE AT-5555N2 receive noise work-around

Oddly enough I seldom use the noise blanker but your findings dont surprise me. I am sure it is all tied into the noise issue in some way. The fact the early N2's worked fine should point the way for anytone to fix the problem.

    ANYTONE AT-5555N2 receive noise work-around

I don't know the answer to that Fred! My initial thought was to reduce the RFG and see what it did but it did nothing to alleviate the noise. My gut feeling is that there are probably several other service menu adjustments that would help the situation. It has also been reported that there is...

    ANYTONE AT-5555N2 receive noise work-around

In the interest of disclosure, this walk around was developed in conjunction with Pez a member of this board also. It was all his fault for having an earlier radio that did not exihibit the noisy receive and wayward S meter reading.

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

Change the mic if you can. Might be something in the element cos I dont think it has a screen.

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

We need to find out how to sort this. It should not be like this. Software or hardware I dont know me.

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

What antenna are you using and have you tried it with another antenna or dummy load as opposed to no antenna. It looks like our radios came from the same production run. I also hear those noises you speak of..I assumed from the NR as it reacts to incoming signals or settles down after changing...

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

With the antenna removed and all knobs to the right, no reading at all on the meter and very little volume at all from the speaker..in fact nothing. I do run a 6 element beam at 120' and that could well be part of the problem. Just might be overloading the poor thing! NR on 3 and Hicut on takes...

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

My N2 works somewhat similarly. There is always a signal on the S meter around 3 to 4 and the S meter seems a bit lazy after S-8. I run the NR at 2 with the Hi Cut on and back off the RF gain and turn up the volume. I understand your frustration but luckily here I do not have any other radios to...

Deltaforce - how to get in/out of PA mode

The Delta force I have; does not have an output for a PA speaker. Just CW plug and ext Sp on the back panel.

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

Unfortunately unless I speak directly into the mic the vox will not engage so not much use with the standard mic. May as well just key the darn thing.

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

Thats it. Now it works. Nothing at all in the manual about it though

What is the output power and swing of Yeti Optima MkIII in CB Mode?

Power will be the same in CB mode, It just affects the frequency coverage. Power can be controlled by adjusting the power control or mic gain on front panel.

anytone at-3333n no ssb side pls any one that can help i do have parts from a older rig that i stuffed up

So it looks like 2 rigs you have stuffed up now. Changing the finals to fix a receive issue is a great leap of faith. I am amazed it didn't work. You could consider welding the lids together to keep your fingers out of the these radios. Without the proper gear and smd soldering skills you will...
