(Yes, I realize I'm resuscitating an ancient post, but I felt the above context was worthy)
Someone googling about what they had to sell must have led them to a post here... Check out the price! Sorry but that does not look new to me...
It's true. I bought one late last year and the damn thing wouldn't tune on 11 meters for shit. Used them for no frills/easy up installs for years prior without issue.
Sommerkamp, never saw a missed call? I'm taking the amp to my tech this weekend to have him check out the discolored resistor pointed out above. Once that is replaced (if necessary) and given a 100% clean bill of health I'll PM you - shouldn't take but the weekend.
Just pointing out the whole absurdity of your comment "In my opinion there is not enough audio conesuer's on cb to even go thru the trouble" - you must not have spent much time sandbagging on 11m with a halfway decent receiver in the last 10 years or so.

There are probably more incredible sounding hifi stations on 11m than the HF bands these days (General class here, hihi). While people have been modifying standard CB's and exports for wideband transmit & receive & feeding them with rack & computer DAWs with great results...
I have the 10 band model with digital display. Really great sound for the money. Ran various mics through it into modified cobra 29 and stryker 955 (caps fattened up for wider transmit audio) with great results.
Most of the new FTDX-10's have loose screens. You apply the slightest amount of physical touch (specifically in the bottom right-hand corner) and the screen moves inward like it's not mounted securely. Yes, it's only a tiny fraction of an inch - it's not like the screen is literally flopping...
Thanks for the reply, fourstringburn. I realize it's going to be hard to find - but I know they are out there (I've seen them on e-bay and either didn't click buy soon enough or couldn't bring myself to pay the crazy prices they were going for). I'd also consider a unit in very nice condition.
WTB: 90s Copper Electronics Catalogs
Would buy any from the 90s but would really like to own one or more from 91-95.
PM me if you have any you'd be willing to part with.
