Sherwood already put an FTDX-10 through his receiver tests. This is hot of the press from today (the person who loaned him the radio for the test posted this on ftdx-10 FB group)
Looks like he places it in the top 4, just above the k3s.
1- FTDX101......Dynamic range.....108 db
2- Flex 6700...
Looks like they come in kit form.

I've never had a tower, but am considering purchasing a manufactured crank/tilt tower setup about ~50 ft. tall.
The ability to crank it down to minimum height then being able to tilt it over to work on/install/change antennas without having to climb is appealing.
What make/models should I be...
I agree. Of all my HF radios my Anan 7000 DLE MK II is the bee's knees on AM TX. You can leave the carrier level alone and the radio won't exceed 100% positive modulation and won't pinch off, or you can tweak carrier/drive/etc. for some asymmetric modulation and "forward swing" on a...

With all the coin we saved, we've still got dough leftover for some nitro knobs, echo board, and maybe a noise toy or two. Hell - if I end up getting the ones I ordered I might send one off to Mr. X for the "full meal deal"
I just ordered a few. I got a popup for a free $5 off your next order for giving them your e-mail address (which I did) but the coupon never showed. Went ahead and got my order in before they fix it or they sell out.
I saw a comment on a YouTube video (I was watching videos of Hams hunting RFI sources) where someone said this thing saved the radio hobby for them: https://www.dxengineering.com/parts/dxe-ncc-2?rrec=true
It gets positive reviews but it's $$$.
I remember when they were a sponsor of another CB radio forum and you'd get the boot if you said anything other than glowing things about them. Everyone there used to talk about their RA whacky-packed General Lee being the bee's knees. That was back when Sparky's CB was still around too.
Gotta love the timing of this thread. I literally just upgraded to a larger amplifier that requires 220v power and I only have it in the garage. I much prefer to radio from my comfortable man cave/office/radio room inside the house though. I am planning to install my amplifier in the garage and...
That's normal for the newer 29s. I have one here that was manufactured in November of 2019 and it turns as you describe. I much prefer the older, harder to turn and tactile channel selectors of older 29s.
