I was researching that antenna and the question I asked about it and felt kinna silly, seeing, I am saving to buy a Maco VQ3, which is a beam form of that antenna.

Sounds nice. I was just looking into it and seem some 2 and 3 element beam style then said "duhh".

So, would that be directional, maybe two ways, or omni, or how does it act?

I'm pretty sure that was my first 3 element beam in '77. I was 14 and we had a radio shack and my dad bought it, so it had to be.

I got one a week or so ago. Mine come from AURSINC which is on the good list also. I used it to check frequencys on my radios. I will have to learn more about this thing and what else I can do with it.

In 1990, my 2nd setup was Cobra 89 with upper/lowers, D-104, Maco 300 gold face with receive, driven by JB-125 modulator, with Maco 4 element beam on 50' tower. Was TOO MUCH living in town, it had to go. Next was Galaxy 33 and groundplane...just doesn't compare!

Was just on LSB38 and it was jumping. Talked to Virginia and Pittsburgh. Things was rather rough there and some idiot called himself gladiator, talking stupid and nasty. He needs a pin in his coax.

Is the WDX Roster limited to Ham operators, or anyone?

LSB 16 was jumpin tonight. Wasn't there long. Enjoyed checking in with 515. Made contact with 220 N Georgia, briefly on LSB 38, but it was rough there. 73s 2112
