This is what I've been thinking about.

Back in the day I ran set of stacked Wilson V quads. They worked very well for me. There were several stations running them in the area. I would think you could get better performance from a 4 element than with the stacked 2's I had

    Hissy fit. AM vs Ssb

I use QRZ just about every day for logging and QSO info. I have posted a couple of things asking a question and the know it all guys pop out of the woodwork to tell you how stupid you are immediately. It's a good site for some things to glen info and to get a laugh or 2 now and then.

    Antenna switch

Alpha Delta makes a great switch 2 or 4 antennas or radios however you want to run it. It should handle that easily. They are also easy to mount if you want and can be grounded as well.

Tx on all 40ch at once

As being someone that has had to deal with some guys using that it's the scourge of the world. I know lots of folks on here have heard the banjo music on channel 28 and other channels and that's courtesy of the so called world of sound in the hands of some really aggravating fools lol.

    Water in coax

Water got in around the connectors. The coax was sealed fine but wasn't over the connectors. Sometimes when you turn your back stuff happens.

    Water in coax

    Water in coax

Thats the plan to seal it up at the feed point. It wouldn't be a bad job except for getting this beam down from 83 feet up lol.

    Water in coax

It's a Mosley A-511 their 11 meter beam. You solder the center pin to the hot side of the driven element which is insulated from the boon and solder the shield to the other side which is grounded to the boom. This antenna was built special for me on a 3 inch boom and all the large elements like...

    Water in coax

Well there is no pl259 to seal. This antenna is direct fed with center conductor to on side and the braid on the ground side. So going to try and fix it right this time.

    Water in coax

Well I knew better and thought I had it sealed. It's about 150 foot of RF213/U. You can bet it will be done right this time.

The good o'l days of USA

I grew up in the 60s and then if you got 100k miles out of your car it was worn out. Those big boats rode great and sucked the gas. The body by Fisher plate was a standard that we have lost.

CB shops not for the weak.

I have one of those I got back in the 90s that goes up to 5k. Nice meter just a little loose compared to my Bird meters.

What is that white thing you wound your coax around for the choke?

    Water in coax

I guessed it was heating it some even though I can't feel it. I have very little reflect less than 5 watts from 2kw out. Been a very good set up really hate to have to change this. Got 150 ft of 213/U on the way from DX Engineering. I have put drip loops in other type of cable installations but...
