    Twister Amps (buyer beware)

If you put feedback circuits on it, maybe get rid of coil/ inductor on input and put trimmers across all transformers and retune amp properly. I bet it will do better. Probably has 330 across input transformers when it should be closer to a 910pf or 1000pf. That would alleviate need for...

    KLV-1000 - Junk - or not . . .

I wish ppl would read the datasheet on the tubes or devices they are using. And look at rated output power. Would solve a lot of issues if they followed guidelines.

    Amp recommendations/ box builders

543, like you said. The average " Builder " doesn't understand biasing let alone thermal tracking. You need to track it. Otherwise as it heats up, device will start pulling some amps even while in standby. It's really not a hard design. But most are used to the Toshiba that so many have taken...

Have you hit the wall looking for 2879's? Here is a possible replacement

Rf parts has them for about $33 each. Check it out. Has datasheet as well. I believe they use a pair of them in final section on some of the icom/ kenwood HF radios. Like the LDMOS stuff, not much drive is needed. 6-7 W per device

    Welding with a CB linear

lol, did anyone else notice static in background? It sounded to me like the switching supplies weren't matched up correctly and fighting each other. Anyone that has stacked a bunch of these will know what I'm talking about. I wonder if he actually built the boards himself or if he is using...
