    American CB operator here (0197) been out of the loop on skip for 20ish years. now i'm aware of the solar cycle and got back into the hobby. new radio w00t! *ahem anyway... i notice that the 17m-15m bands are 'good' for day+night propagation. now the question. will 10M , 20M, 40M or others...

    finally got a mobile antenna (Wilson 1000) and some proper 10 gauge wire. got the 5555n II installed. was banging my head against the wall why the weather stations weren't coming in on my K40. K40 has a matching capacitor that blocks the weather band. Wilson has no cap and receives weather...

    thanks for that. here is the pinout from the manual. and the pinout of the SS9900 (same as quad6) according to Eldorado828 at best you would need to re-wire it. at worst it may still not work. i dunno
