Yes this is what I did. I don't remember the numbers now, but say it was swinging to 30, and when the tb is cranked all the way it will only swing to 25. In fact I injected a tone, and watched the meter as I turned up the talk back volume, as I turned it up the meter went down. No coincidence.

Yes it was the little pull off jumper. Needs to go on both pins. And by the way, dead on frequency out of the box. very impressed with this radio.

I did notice after doing this mod, if you crank the talk back all the way up, the radio will lose some swing. I don't under stand why, unless running the talk back wide open causes a drop in voltage maybe?

I just got the latest version sr 497hpc in the mail yesterday. I looked at the cb tricks site for the channel conversion, but the picks look totally differnt from what I have. This newest version is all surface mount. Any one got the conversion for the newest model?

Yeah, yeah and we were supposed to install a heatseink when we started putting the 2sc1969 in a cobra 29 too. I never did and I know of at least three of them I did are still running strong. If you run a good sytsem, with no high reflect it will be OOOOKAY! besides mosfets are cheap cheap cheap...

The regular Lee is still a dual final radio, correct? I still say it is too much for the little 203, the 203 is perfect for single final radio like the cobra 29-25 etc., even a connex 3300 -NOT HP
