    The Ranger SR-158 is the same as the Mic that is used for the Ranger 2970, 2950. At least that is what is labeled on back of the 29xx series of Ranger Mic.

    I assume that was with SSB ? I have done this W/mobile to base on SSB late at night around 11:00pm, base was a Lazar 400, mobile with coil antenna w/M4v Messenger & dx99 radio on 26.875 This was from Fort worth to Palestine Texas
