If you measured ohms from the mic connector pin 1 to pin 2 I wouldn't expect to see anything other than 1K plus a tiny bit from the resistance in L403 and would not expect to see a difference when adjusting the mic gain pot. Essentially pins 1 and 2 go to opposite outer ends of the pot so you...
Yeah, I was starting to get the idea that they are "wholesale only".
I just wanted to get an idea what ALL they have ..... then I could go hunt for it and find it at a retailer..... maybe.
My brain just started wondering...... all of these products that pop up all over creation from "Workman"..... wouldn't they have a website that you could go to and "see it all".... in one place???
yeah... they do..... as you might expect.... workmanelectronics.com seems to be a live...
Does anybody have any idea where I would be likely to find an old dead linear amp?
What I am wanting is a heat sink and a case... to make a high power (as in 250 watt 30 dB) attenuator for my test bench.
Obviously it doesn't even have to have the board in it. I've just never thought about...
THIS would make me think that the FCC's aim would be to use this to prove that "transmissions being investigated" were coming from THIS radio.... to avoid the "it wasn't MY radio" defense.
Well that raises a question in my "punkin' head".....
When they say "fingerprint"............
are they saying...."this radio is a 1979 Cobra 148 from Taiwan"?????
or are they saying.... "this is the same radio that was transmitting 2 days 3 hours and 42 seconds ago on this frequency"????
It...
(just because I think the subject is interesting)
So much to cover here......
When it comes to using an FCC Callsign issued in one particular service.........
I would think that it would depend on whether or not a "callsign" is required in BOTH services. Like... I would not expect that it...
Always being on the look out for better ideas.... I have seen a number of repair vids where they are using different methods.....
But what do some of you do..... for microphone adapter plugs... to inject test tones ... while working on transmit???
Mike... seems to have some little gadget...
I know that it can be used for coax testing and "fault location" so I would have to say yes.... but I am so new with it.... I couldn't tell you how yet!!! ;)
(On the Nano VNA H4) I could not agree more. Mine came in yesterday and after a bit of stumbling had shot my dual band antenna and found it to be great across both bands. It really makes it nice being able to dynamically "see" the entire "band of interest" and "see" the antenna's coverage...
Dan, I hate to have to bother you....
Want to see if you have CB-123. I am looking for the Pearce Simpson Tomcat 23B and it is in that volume.
If you CAN, I would appreciate the whole section!
If that is too much.... schematics, alignment, alignment can location page, and maybe a block...
Dan, sorry I am late to the party.
I've had a couple of weeks pretty tied up that didn't allow me a lot of time to keep up with things here-abouts.
This should be what you need.
Bob
Lkaskel,
As I am about to embark on a serious effort to get my D201A up and cranking I was scouring WWDx for references on them... and I happened across THIS posting.... and I wondered.........
are you still involved in being "the neighborhood repair guy" as you mention here? I am wondering...
