What cap value for ssb delay

Agreed. Decent transceiver and an “8 pill”....not a reason in the world to be stuck with a half-ass RF keyed SSB amp. Done it. It’s trash, IMO.

WEST MOUNTAIN RADIO “ClearSpeech” DSP Speaker

Just an update with my Speaker... I find myself more and more comfortable turning up the filtering. Much of this has been just a matter of getting my ears used to a different sound, and hesitance for fear of damaging an already weak signal. But fact is, on the ones I can’t make out there’s...

9' of coax in mobile install to lower SWR?

The 9' increment makes little sense, if you think about it. Every coax would have to have the same velocity factor to equal the same proportions of a wavelength....and they don't. You can run shorter coax. You can run 7' if that's what you want. The only time length comes into play is hiding...

What cap value for ssb delay

I’ve yet to see a CB amp from the “builders” use the latter design, small cap on the base. Almost always 1000uf and up from relay to ground. Why? I don’t know.

That does sound likely. 0- 2.5 seconds is a huge change.

Recommendations for getting up and running, for what I have...

Check to see if there are any local clubs and check out their webpages. They should have repeater frequencies listed, as well as any nets. I don’t know what your terrain is like, but I can hear 2m repeaters from surprisingly long distances here with just a discone in my attic.

What cap value for ssb delay

It’s not going to be the same from relay to relay (or operator to operator). You’d probably be much happier with direct key.

    Dosy frequency counter

“The FC 50 S and FC 50 SP displays the frequency when the mic is keyed, on transmit only.” I agree...a waste.

Where's the isolation in the directly bolted arrangement shown? There's pickups, flatbeds, stakebeds, tire trucks, beehive trucks, farm trucks, welding trucks, service trucks....and all other sorts all over the planet... that aren't being quickly destroyed by direct mounting.

I don’t think I have anything too rare...but I do have an EICO 772 and a matching parts unit, the original belonging to my uncle. AM. Tubes. 3 Xtals. And low power :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: And yes...I use it now and then ;)

New (newer, newish, late model and etc) pickups all seem to be a nice ride. Features in cars today blow my mind. Stuff that was only on the top end models is standard in the lowest of low “work trucks” now. Im a fan of manual stuff. The ‘05 Dodge has crank windows (still haven’t failed)...
