Yes it lights up and yes I know it's old and "needs the capacitors replaced
First flaw I would look for is 40-plus years of old age.
History is everything for something this old. Did it quit during a lightning storm, one day when the antenna forgot to get unplugged? Did...
Well I found out that cap is part of the ac circuit and removing it made the amp non working. I replaced it and it fires up and the relays work but zero power out. Seems the keying transistor is dead. So now what do i need to look for???
I may have found someone. I'm in talks now with a ham that specializes in the 901 and 902dm. I posted an add on QTH and he responded. He has an ac transformer I'm getting from him
Yeah very few know much about it. The tech I go to wouldn't even look at it because he knew nothing about it. If I can't fix it il just throw it in the trash
The ac side is dead ( bad transformer) so I was told by my tech to hook it to DC and it should fire right up. It doesn't. It does zip. It has voltage to the on off switch but nothing else. Any ideas? I'd like to get it running because it's literally mint and has all the filters .
My 2015 imax would only tune on 10m. It was AT BEST a 1.5 or worse on cb. I ordered the optimizer piece and installed it and I dropped my swrs down to a 1.2 or less. I'm
I ended up buying the little 12 inch piece and installed it on my imax today. It dropped the swrs down to a 1.2 on all 40. So it does work. My imax is a 2015 model that tuned up in 10 meter.
