Anyone here running a large linear like a Texas Star 1600 in a base setup? What are you powering the amp with? The thing draws right at 130A, looking for ideas/suggestions...

I run the 39VHP and get every bit of 80W out of it. I was in a rush for a radio before leaving Louisiana so I went with the 39, the only regrets are the chrome and lack of SSB.

There is this hand that keys up on various frequencies with a sic amount of power. I never got his "call/handle" but he sits there and repeats himself while laughing.
