Didn't I just recently read that linking GMRS was not allowed?

That is the plan. My call starts with a leading dit, which gets cut off by the slow TX/RX turnaround. I don't think that makes me serious vs casual. But speed may be an issue, but either way, the leading dit or dah will be cut off, either completely or partially., which is unacceptable to me...

What is the difference, between a serious and casual CW operator? Either it works, or it doesn't....

The changelog doesn't tell he whole story. The fix that matters, is the T/R turnaround time. Settings are one thing, but does it work?

If the radio is still in warranty, I would let Radioddity know. Perhaps you have a bad mic.

I have available the new updated release Workman W58, with reinforced bottom section. It is a true 5/8 base station antenna. Best bang for the $$$ out there right now.

It should be around 500 W. I think it may need to be repaired from the looks of some of the balancing resistors. I knew the owner of that company, as I was a VoCom dealer in the 80's. He was from the Schaumburg IL area, worked for Mot at one point. I can't remember his name though.

I was told about the FW, but was told no ref osc adj for user, just "pro". Maybe they changed their position? I don't know or care. 20 Hz frequency error is nothing on any mode the radio supports.

I was told by QX not going to happen.

20 Hz is nothing and QX is not going to grant user menu access to the ref osc adjustment.

I have several Icom AH-x tuners and an LDG. The Icom's are great, but limited to Icom radios and the LDG sucks. So, I was considering the Chinese N7DDF and consulted a friend, who told me what a POS it is. I read the Eham reviews, which cancelled any thoughts of owning one. I also have the MFJ...

The "N" is a Negative or REVERSED DCS code. If the Icom does not support rev DCS, you are out of luck. If you are able to duplicate the code using the polarity modes, you want to look at the DCS deviation of the Icom. Can the radio decode?

I don't like HG anything. I have a bunch of CB-20W's to keep things happy when needed.
