    I'm not faulting the guy, but he did not address the complaint. When the OP posted here, he stated that he noticed excessive current draw on voice peaks. The tech's assessment is not covering that issue at all.

    I don't understand, what frequency instability has to do with excessive current draw on voice peaks. Something is drawing current, pulling down the B+ which may be causing the instability. That's my first guess without having the radio in front of me.
