Mark Sherman - Hard Drive 163 - Fine Tune CB - New Mexico

The rumor mill in several places is that he was hiding from customers. I think that's just crazy talk. There are more plausible reasons. He might like the climate.

Mark Sherman - Hard Drive 163 - Fine Tune CB - New Mexico

Oh, it could be funny (discussing his outlandish claims that he can get a CB radio to receive better than the deep space network) but I won't go down the road of accusing him of crimes of moral turpitude

Mark Sherman - Hard Drive 163 - Fine Tune CB - New Mexico

Yeah... my whole 1/1000th of a microvolt's worth included :ROFLMAO:

That's quite a serious allegation. IMHO, we should not go there.

Need help with uniden 880 new board style

Moar Watts. The SB880 comes with an IRF520 already but it's bias circuit is fixed, so it's non-trivial to replace it with anything other than another IRF520.

    CB Tricks web site

I have seen in several places where groups or people are trying to become the new cbtricks, so that's what I mean by a power vacuum. The community put its eggs in one basket and the bottom just fell out of it.

    CB Tricks web site

I have a copy of the zip. I am trying to see if I can get it dropped someplace to mirror it. My only concern with this developing power vacuum is that ten people make sites and information gets fragmented. It will also take a bit of work to create a site with the ability for users to submit...

Mark Sherman - Hard Drive 163 - Fine Tune CB - New Mexico

I don't think there is anything wrong with being honest about it, but yes.

    CB Tricks web site

Whoever Bennie is probably only has copyright to a small portion of the data. What I don't get is if this person doesn't want to run it anymore just sell it and let someone else carry the torch. I feel bad for the people that contributed information to the site just to have it go poof.

    955HPC

Golly me... the specs say "60+" And I never said it "sounded" nasty. it is a harmonic rich radio. It's PA is only two MOSFETs that are easily overdriven. It's not the best design.

    955HPC

It's your radio. You are free to screwdriver it all day. Have fun.

    955HPC

Might be the 497. I have a couple 955s and they will do a lot more power but it's pretty nasty.

    955HPC

100 watts is a sign it's been screwdrivered. Much over 50-60 watts and it's absolutely nasty.

Sideband harmonics 7mhz away...wheres your test tone?

I was going to point out the meter not moving part but I have not seen him obscure things like some others do. His technical skills are lacking and a lot of what he is doing is ignorance on fire so I think it's more likely they made a nugget mistake and had the mic gain down or something.

Scary Snake Radio "Setting Up" President Lincoln II V3

I want to see that. The only one I found was edited for comedic value that I didn't care for.

Scary Snake Radio "Setting Up" President Lincoln II V3

If there is anything that I hope Snake Radios will listen to it's to not go down the path of Fine Tune and start bashing others. Even if he is right it's the perceived bias. You know the idiom... those who live in glass houses....
