    Lester Custom Truck Shop

Lester's sounds like Fine Tune East minus the internet/over the air bashing of other techs! Look at his prices and unnecessary parts replacement videos. At least he has the stones to lay it all out there on his website and if you're stupid enough to jump in......a fool and his money..... JD

    Anytone ARES VI concept...

IMHO the Quad 6 will always have the advantage of it's smaller size. This new radio looks like it is the size of a "Big" radio. Now if Qixiang could incorporate the NR feature and dynamic/electret mic choice into the Quad 6 that would be something! JD

    President Radio Repair Service

Moral of the story, in today's market, go with Anytone(Quixang) radios. Buy radio, take it out of the box, convert it (usually easy), put it on the air! They just work. Unlike the revered brands of old (Ranger, Galaxy, President, etc.) that seem to suffer from a "we don't give a shit" attitude...

    Reclaim LSB 16

Went down to the truck this afternoon to drop some supplies off for the upcoming week. Turned the radio on and didn't get anywhere on SSB. However I was able to make a contact with 101 mobile in Florida on 26.805 FM! Turns out he is a fellow Ohio resident on vacation! Not bad for 50 watts...

    Anytone 6666 Question

Is it possible? Probably. Is it worth it or wise? I doubt it. 1 driving 1 driving 2 is going to swing too much for a 2 pill, unless you want to do a bunch of stuff inside the radio, for what I believe, would be a small gain in the long run. JMHO JD
