    Stryker 955 Redesign.

The K-PO seems to have alot of really nice features and if it becomes available I may have to bite! Probably going to be way cheaper than a 955 for a few less watts. JD

    AT-6666 MOBILE

I actually find the ASQ kinda handy on the 6666. I have mine set at 5 and it works good when monitoring ch19 AM. Hit the EMG button and I go to 38LSB and squelch is gone for listening for possible DX. This radio is pretty easy to use in the big truck. I do wish it had the option to program 60...

General questions about my newest acquisition

Yes.......screw in Bird Perch on driver's side only. The reason I said 15 feet of coax is I read somewhere that, taking coax velocity into account, it puts you closer to where you would want to be as far as 1/2 wave length, or something like that. Personal experience also factored into that, but...

General questions about my newest acquisition

Regarding the Volvo..............how and where is the antenna mounted? Pics? I've found that the Bird Perch mounts that screw into the existing mirror bolt holes work pretty good...

Real CB Radios are side mic

Definitely Petercars (might have Paccar power), Doubt it's the 13 letter poop speaders (most Maxxfarces have blown up already!) and definitely not a Freightshaker (my DD13 don't sound like that!). I was a little jealous a month ago. Picked up my son one Saturday to give him a ride to get the...

Heavy duty VELCRO. Makes it easy to change radios and no holes in company truck. You might need some folded up cardboard to steady things. JD

WEST MOUNTAIN RADIO “ClearSpeech” DSP Speaker

Well crap! The bracket for my speaker broke! I had it mounted sideways off the side of the dash in the Freightshaker and it broke right by one of the mounting holes. I emailed West Mountain support to see if there is any remedy they can offer. In the meantime, the speaker is now presently HD...

    Finally!

I tried that toroid on the fridge cord and there was no difference. I did notice that when I would run the coffee maker it would kick up the noise. So I figured why not try putting the toroid close to the crap inverter? Just picked up a needed longer extension cord so I had enough length to wrap...
