Well, its resolved. I could not get the popular Uniden 85 clarifier lock procedure to work but a user on here, Holydvr, messaged me with a post from Nomad on Grumpy's site with a slightly different process and it now works well. Thanks Holydvr for your help and Nomad for your big brain...
That's correct. The 7.82 vdc source. The voltage is at 7.923 and only drops .002 on xmit. I did rasise the voltage on the PS from 13.84 to 14.01 and it has no difference. Man this is strange. Also, the frequency as measured at TP8 does not change from rcv to xmt. It is stil labout 500Hz...
Here is the thing Doc. It will align fine when the clarifier is factory. When I lock it with the above method AM and USB align fine. LSB will only get to within 800Hz.
Hi Everyone,
I used the directions on here to lock the clarifier on a 139XLR.
1) Remove D30
2) Remove R117,
3) Solder the PURPLE wire to an 8 VDC source.
5) Solder the BROWN wire to GROUND.
The purple wire is on a constant 7.82vdc point. AM and USB align perfectly with the clarifier in 12...
Hi Everyone,
So, the clock on the radio just flashes 8:88 and the buttons except for the Hold button have no effect on the clock. I also bough a clock and switch board off of E*** for parts. This radio has some challenging aspects to it because the actual boards in most cases does not macth up...
Good afternoon men,
I am looking to lock my clarifier on my Stalker XX. It does have the 8734 PLL. Does anyone have the proceedures for this? I am not interested in swapping out to the 8719 as I want to keep it stock except for this mod.
Thanks as always!!!
Ok, so this issue is fixed. I rewired it so the red wire was audio and no more hum. After working on it I think that someone may have replaced this cord in the past. They did a great looking job so there is that. One other thing. This mic is actually labeled as a Midland mic but is just a...
This is VERY interesting!!! I was looking at the mic tonight getting ready to install a new mic cord. I noticed that the shield was wrapped around the red wire not the white. Everything about this mic tells me that this is from the factory and not that this has been replaced. Tomorrow I am...
All good suggestions so thanks!!! I did verify the wiring of the plugs but I did find that the shield was corroded green and that coorsion went down into the cord. I am wondering if the shield is partiall broken. I have ordered some new mic cord and when it arrives I'll hook it up and let you...
I know this post is old but I am curious if you know where a schematic or parts list would be for the +3 with the TIS58? I have a board with some transistors that I do not think are correct. I do have the schematic with the 3219 in it.
