If they are like the 703 I had, they have a Screw Clamp-Down arrangement on back so you can use your own wires. Go with like 8 gauge .... strip the ends and stick them in. Otherwise you'll have to google for RMI Dealers and contact one of them for parts.
Supply crashes just when you turn the radio on? Well that is serious. Does the radio work when running elsewhere like in a vehicle?
A radio simply turned on and receiving draws very little power. A CB maybe only 1/2 to 1 amp. If in fact the radio is fine and supply is crashing on that ...
It sounds like a good ol' Avanti A400 Starduster to me. Confirm that any of the 4 sections are around 9 feet in length.- That will confirm that it's a CB Base Antenna. The 3 Ground Plane Radials slope DOWNward. Is a 1/4 Wave Ground Plane. Prolly a million of them were sold in the 1970's & '80's...
Aren't we already talking about the radio in another forum? Think that thread may be under the Anysecu Name. Same radio and UV K5 model number. I tried one about 6 months ago after some other locals were playing with them. I wish I was more skilled with the software hacking which I am not ...
Funny you mention the static, fading and worn out music. That is all SW Pirates are ...... for years and years. The heyday of good SW Pirates was the 1990's maybe into the early 2000's. Then all the good entertainment Pirates left and ever since it's music-only stations. What a sleep-fest
If it's rings or reed value, I have no way to check or fix. I'm not tearing the engine down. - It's not overfill on oil .... has a dipstick. - It's not gushing large amounts. Might push out 1 ounce in a 20 minute run. The mower is kindof a backup. I only use it in a small area and mostly just to...
I have an old but good Craftsman walk-behind with a 3hp Tecumseh engine. Had since new, always well maintained. Always full and clean oil. Still cranks right up and runs good as new. Burns no oil - no smoke ever. Issue recently is, when running it pushes a small amount of oil out of the...
So my neighbor had a massive lighting hit and suffered a shit ton of damage about a month ago. He has a big place and is wealthy so he located a lightning protection specialty company that is re-doing his whole estate in a first class way. So with this work going on now, they are leaving on...
Heard some locals talking about it. They got interested as the firmware can be hacked with software/computer and it can be expanded to RX & TX down to like 26.000 or something close and somewhere through 700mhz. AM Transmit capable via hack as it has circuitry for AM Air band. One of the local...
Got tired of the seemingly poor AC in the little truck. Put on my refrigeration gauges and sure enough it was low on freon. I wasn't expecting a problem really as the truck only had 35K miles on it when I inherited and all else was well maintained and like new. Got one of these and it fixed me...
I have a 2005 Colorado Standard Cab little truck. When I got it 3 years ago it was excellent condition and only 35K original miles - from an inheritance. So the AC blows only cool but not cold .... since I got it. I'm thinking of the likelihood that because it only has to cool the little cab -...
Yeah okay ..... Actually I can't recommend that anyone buy a relatively sophisticated and expensive ham radio except for Ham Radio Operators who, with experience and knowledge of the hobby, will know how they work, what they're capable of doing and where to buy them.
