I am alarmed by the billions of reports about all the new gear the last several years that have all the poor quality issues. It used to be that you could only reliably sling mud at MFJ. Now it's so many things across the board. You can still hoo haw at MFJ btw all you want. I recently needed to...

People who will never have $4,300 to spend on a hobby toy see people who can afford such things as the rich people. That's just the way it is. Some guys would have to skrimp and save for years to afford something like this and if that is their case ..... they probably have no business even...
Maybe .... if they're close enough. Same with the guy on 10 meters with a Yaesu 101 with TV Sweep Tubes. You deal with it or go and cut the guy's coax and burn his house down. Quit yer cryin'
Just like the hams in the 60's ~ 80's and beyond who talked away on their TV Sweep Tube Finaled Yaesu 101's and Kenwood 5xx's and blew away their neighbor's OTA TV reception. You're pissing in the wind. Will a CB splatter box put some interference out on 6 meters? Probably .... if they're close...
Wow .... what an oddball change-the-subject trolling. The Answer is again NOTHING unless you are operating on 6 meters and you are concerned about a CB'er in your neighborhood getting one of the rigs and tell us what the chances of THAT are.
If you heard a D Rail tuned radio over the air .... you'd be a believer. And that's all that matters - What it sounds like over the air. There can be imperfections viewable on a scope that are undetectable by the ear over the air.
Ha! .... not that I know of. He of late specializes in modding pretty much any radio with the HiFi audio. D104's as well. Can make any radio sound like FM Broadcast quality.
Well I dunno. Look at his video. D Rail doesn't do builds for his friends that are just going to blow up two days later. Not good for business. He knows what he's doing.
Some of you are familiar Tech > D Rail in Georgia. I know of him personally and he does do very good work. Yesterday I watched a Youtube of his where he has added goodies to a 99N2 including being able to get 300 watts Bird out of them. Does anyone know how this is accomplished? Is it just...
Ha! I just picked up one of these as I was in need of a basically useful external meter just for 11 meter purposes. Got at a good price and looks like new. Power and SWR is accurate to other known readings on present radio and gear. Didn't work with Vertical Ant. plugged into Vertical position...
Tru dat. I still will sell other items there but used electronics is risky business for sellers. Maybe better luck with ham gear but the rip-off cb'er peeps abound. See my other post about the Sri Lanka feckers .... always mad to see them be allowed to remain.
These are 28-29.700 or a bit more out of the box. SO the rigs go there. However when you do the 11 meter mod of completely removing the 4 Resistors - they top out at 28.775. I want to be able to still go to 29.700 or thereabouts and it's okay if I lose some coverage on the lower end. Has anyone...
So I was looking around for fun sort of today and notice there are no Texas Star amps on eBay or Amazon. Copper's (cough cough) claims to have some on their website but you know how that goes.
Are they temporarily sold out for lack of parts issues or what? Where is the most reliable place to buy...
