I'm waiting on the new updated and revised users manual... The one from Simon's website is old, and the one from the Netherlands website same thing... Nothing on the companys website strangely...
For instance, mine has 27 menu options verses old manual has 29 and alot don't match up to my...
Seems decent especially because the 2547 still sells way too pricey. However, I do NOT like the digits in red while the freq counter is white. Lazy staff won't match them, but I guess in reality, it is more credited to a effective price cut...
That is my 2 cents 73, Retro

Well I finally got my 2 s890 radios, been testing a couple days now. Very nice small radios overall. I'm trying to get the latest revised user manual, as the current online don't match up with the menu !
Though I want to lower dead key on AM/FM badly, so I'm guessing inside those pots are...
The full complete schematics diagram appears to even more RARE than the radio itself....... Hmmmmmm - anybody have it on this forum ?
The 30 page one from this post isn't complete.

Thought I'd put this out there, in the hope someone would have this...

Wondering how many test...
I just pre-ordered the revised version coming out later this year ! I've been chatting with Ford as well through Whatsapp since AUG 29th.
Hope it is an enjoyable one 73's, Retro
I agree with Nomad above but if you get fortunate enough to find another of the same radio, you should be to make due. Mikes Radio Repair did a video of my 850 model on Youtube and at that time a company still made crystals which he ordered and got mine back on track.
This TRS Challenger 850...
Well i got mine and actually am loving it quite a bit ! I'm in the US or the states you could say, and bought from a French company with the export mod in place.
The wait was worth it IMHO 73, Retro
Yeah I was wondering about this radio myself, especially after seeing one on eBay looked to be NOS and he offered me a lower price. When I contacked him asking about the PLL chip in it, got no reply.
But I figured it was the good ole 02A going on looks alone, being in this hobby and owning...
