Nice that it has adjustable mic gain. I had to do the modification to all my baofeng UV-5R radios to bring up the modulation. May have to pick one up soon.
I just like how they setup the macros and to customize it how you need them.. I still dont know every bit of it, but Ive had some time with the program to at least get it working ok.
That is good information to have. I have a Palomar 350Z from my old man that one day I would like to run again, but if the other bands on it are just for looks, I wouldnt dare try 20 or 40 meter bands. Just to be sure, was this for all the palomar amps out there of the 1970s or not all?
For sure its the free full version. I havent learned the program throughout, but I already use Ham Radio Deluxe for PSK-31 stuff. I wish Ham Radio Deluxe loaded a lot faster, but the code is very dated and needs improvements. Otherwise, no matter how fast of a computer you have, it loads in...
I am sure I worded it wrong. I just meant like I kept masking the real problem without me knowing what the real cause was by changing the length of the coax between the amp and the radio. In the end, it turned out to be end on the antenna outside. It wasn't water related, but the end they used...
I could only remember calling one shop out in Sparks, NV back in 2011 and asked how much it would be to set the AM deadkey watts to 1.75 on my Uniden Grant XL. He wanted $60 to do it. Even with me just being new and trying to figure the stuff out at the time, I knew I better at least attempt to...
That explains why the amp was struggling when all along the other end of the coax up the antenna was the problem all along.
Also, I think someone was calling it "nulling" the coax cable or something where you had to run it at certain feet? I forget what all that was, but he swore by it and...
Only time I had problems with the relay clicking oddly is when the coax going from the radio to the amp was longer than 3 feet? From what I understand its best to keep that run of wire as short as possible between the amp and the radio. Also what didnt help is that my antenna's coax cable on the...
Reminds me of the early 2000s when I was listening on in with my 2m radio on one of the local railroad detectors. Cart count I believe it was and I forget what else it announces.
Ok, so wrong of me to assume and digital signal you put to USB... Yea, some goofy rule to put it to USB... Even if you are on 40m? Put it to USB...
Glad you got it figured out. Computer side of stuff..
Also, do you still have that Commodore 64?? If you do.. I want to repair it if it no longer...
I sure do miss XP... I will eventually build a dedicated XP machine some day... At this rate... the onboard sound somehow isnt outputting right? or maybe has their lists goofy... A sound Blaster Live sound card. Would work great at this point for XP..
This way you can manually choose distinct...
I realized that FlDigi didnt even have the PortAudio checkmarked, that explains no audio coming out! But then DigiPan should of at least transmitted audio as it doesnt write to a file.
there is settings within fldigi for which sound card to choose. this way you force the program to choose it every time.
choose configure on the top menu and then config dialog. check mark Port Audio and choose your appropriate sound settings. save and close.
Ok... So the audio is not making it out of the computer. When you hooked up some speakers to it and you hit transmit on the program, it was not making any sound and just muted. Double check your sound settings in the program. But to be sure, can you play an MP3 or at least play something that...
For now, just hook up some speakers to the green port of the PC, see if you can hear all the RTTY stuff when you press transmit. Least so we know the PC is outputting audio.
Of course days pass and I miss this thread yet again.. :P
Yea, its just the audio is not making it through... Do this, on the Audio out on the Rig blaster itself, connect some headphones and see if anything comes out. The knob up front adjusts that signal coming in, so half way is a good start...
I sent you a message. If you can tune into 14.070 and have Digipan at least listen on in to the PSK31 stuff, then that would be good news. Not a whole lot of PSK31 during the week but sometimes more busy on the evenings/weekends.
