Phillipines made Uniden board (same as PC-122) with N Channel kit goes from 27.425 to 28.045 radio is tuned to TX-150A AB1 amplifier. Your looking at about 200 pep watts AM/SSB ballpark and the clarifier is open about 4 khz RX/TX center slot alighned. All works as it should with this combo...

you should not see much more then a 5 watt DK on that 148 . VR10 should help you to turn it down to 5 . SWR ? that's kind of yes and no , get the dk down then check it , IM guessing it will still be on the high side but it should come down a little , then it would be about tuning the antenna one...

you are more then likely making it harder then it really is ? this is the same for you other then your dealing with 8 recorders in one. (those are really nice when set right for given radio/tune and audio settings)
