Here's one you may want to try.
Take 450 ohm ladder line & cut a piece 18 feet long.
Next exactly in the middle cut one side only, leave the other side solid.
Next take some ladder line and solder one side of it to each side of the 18 foot piece
in the middle where where you cut it. This will...
Yeah senior moment. 3750-3800. The DX window runs to 3810 but outside the US
they are restricted no higher than 3800
The only traffic I hear on 3801 to 3809 are Florida & Puerto Rico.
I agree with you completely. The General portion on 75m is already overcrowded.
Many a night you will hear groups of 4-5 all with 1by2 or 2 by one calls that could move
down & relieve the crowded conditions.
If the Advanced & Extra operators don't want to use it how about giving Generals...

hand mic I got very good audio reports on am.
As long as you don't eat the mic or yell into it you will sound good...
You stated radio was peaked & you did not want a power mic.
A lot of people I talk with locally use a Superstar stock mic available on Flea Bay for
a good price. They come pre-wired for different radios.
Sound pretty good on RCI, Cobra,& Uniden radios.
Well if you include the cost of the feedline, any hardware you use(pulleys), strong uv
resistant cord to pull it up at $50 you have an antenna that will also be usable on odd
harmonics.
Yes a wave length on the primary freq, steering it is not that much of a problem if you
have multilple tie off...

became the Guru of repair on the old Kenwood Hybrids.
Sorry He has passed but at least he is not suffering any more.
A real sleeper, 100% duty cycle often overlooked by many. Great Beacon radio if you
are into that. Ham version of the ic-78 which was built for use by Governments at
embassy post & some limited military use.
Put the Inrad 2.1 SSB filter in & you have a great ssb radio.
Had one years ago & at...
