Hi Jeff, It was a V4. The SWR readings were well out of whack compared to my calibrated meters, and the SWR high cutoff function didn't function unless the rig power was turned up to around 20W+. As I use all my rigs at around the 4 > 7W output, the lack of SWR warning function was a problem...

For the most part, please disregard post #4. I have all of the aforementioned Amplifiers minus the B300. On FM, 4 > 5W reaps around ~80W ÷/-10% out from the KL200/203. Anything more goes into serious compression - and I definitely wouldn't be offering 12W SSB, particularly with the KL200...

Anyone know what purpose these 2 x 22 ohm Resistors in parallel serve? On some KL505 units there's only 1 x 22 ohm, but in other's, including mine, there's 2 in parallel.

The instructions for this say 7W is optimum, but it accepts 10W maximum before compression occurs. I'm quite impressed with it, and glad I ditched the KL503 now.

I plan on getting the CRT SS9900 which I'm led to believe is the same as the AT6666. There are plenty of reports of them getting very hot, so I intend to fit a couple of small fans on the heatsink somehow.

Guys, I decided to ditch the KL503 & instead amend my order to a KL505. I'll no doubt purchase a KL503 at a later date, though, if the price is right. I'll update this thread on Monday when I've tested the Amp'.
