well HD has a 10/20 ladder rated for 250lbs for $130. Which if I just add 5' for free as I have a piece of top rail here and just fab or use a bracket on the higher side to hook to the mast up at 20' mark I should be good. And I gain a ladder.

Oh. That may work. But I don't have a 10/20' ladder. Only a 6'. Hence the fun. I had to plant the top 10' and antenna as one unit into the bottom 10' section. Fun fun. and should I just slide a 3-5' top rail under the whole thing and just re-clamp? Or get a whole new mast??

While this may true. The plan was for the 2016 to go to my NC property more than likely and the A99 stay here with me in the NJ state. Or vice a versa. Still up in the air on that decision.

That's what I was thinking. A slit might cause a split if wind is sideways. I'll just add the anti seize and maybe some tape at the joints on top of the plastic/rubber sleeves.

The videos of them being assembled show like a 3-4" joint area and maybe a 2" spread on the screws. Here is some pics I got offline. This is the way they are. Can't change it.
