I think it the one for the change of resistor 153 I will have to look into that and see unfortunately the complete front radio has to come off to get to the resistor as the freq counter board covers it. if its not to much of a hassle I will go for it, or try to find in from the bottom side. thanks

Remove what you did and see if radio works

Are you getting 9v at the emitter of Q216. Make sure no solder bridges

The channel switch is fine the 2000 transmits fine dead on frequency just no receive. It will show a signal if I key up a dummy load radio and will show a signal just not any receive just a bit of static and very little meter movement

I would tweak the vco first check the voltage but sounds like the vco drifted a bit and maybe an adjustment will cure the problem. Does the radio have extra channels?
