I have my ohm meter. How do I test those exactly? I can try it.

here are some pics. I took it out of the radio to see it. Looks like there are wires on both decks.

It is a 2 deck switch. But I will have to look at it again in regards to your other questions- it does have quite a few wires running to it.. If I can I will take a pic and post it if I can get a good view without unmounting it from the radio.

I’m not sure if it’s bad or not. Trying to determine that. But I want to get a line on where to get another one or a replacement type if I do determine it’s bad.

Thanks I appreciate it. Unfortunately Ken’s is a completely unreliable site now. The last 2 times I tried to order from him he never filled it. Didn’t get charged but orders were never filled even after calling him. It’s to bad because it was one of the only sites left to find old obsolete parts.

Anyone know where I can get a mode switch for a Cobra 2000? I don’t think there is any aftermarket equivalent and I don’t have a scrap radio to pilfer from.

Given that you cannot get these OEM anywhere unless you happen to have junk radio to raid, (which I don't) does anyone know what a proper substitute would be and/or what the specs/ratings is on these? Not shown anywhere in the specs or sams facts...

I usually check the bias current putting an inline meter through the bias wire and those test point posts. Haven’t been able to find a choke and I don’t have an old radio. Damn, sucks

the MB3756. The radio runs off a DC power supply, not the AC. I had replaced the one in the bias circuit previously (TR37 I think it is).
