FYI
I use a DELTA M2 microphone. Tone set @ #5 and Modulation set @ 5 and Mic Gain on the radio set @ 12 o'clock. Obviously, you need a 6 to 4 pin mic plug adapter. I favor the Delta M2 because a battery is not required. Upper and Lower sideband transmit and receive were "way-out" of specs from...
Did you receive the current Owner's Manual for manual for the Plus Plus? My Plus Plus came with the manual for the "Plus" and the specs are not the same because the RF Power output on the Plus Plus is more than the Plus. The fans are sort of noisy when the radio is at an idle.

I was not aware that RCI ships-out these radios with the 12v Power Cord with the RCA Phono plug for the external fans not being inserted into the 12v socket at the back of the radio...
I'm done with amps in my vehicles. Routing the wiring for the amp from the engine compartment to the cab, where to install and mount the amp and having a jumper cable from the radio to the amp was sort of a PITA to deal with. I sold all of my mobile amps. Also, there are positives and negatives...

I'm not disclosing the manufacturer of the amp, because I was informed that this is just about the "norm" with many amp and power supply builders. I recommend retaining the photo and if and when you or anyone orders a new amp or power supply, forward the photo to the builder and ask if that is...
I sort of hang-out on 28 AM, but I think it's time to move onto the uppers and sideband frequencies because it seem as though more and more toy noisemakers are coming out of the woodwork.
