Mosley makes one of the best antennas for almost any bands ( they began making military antennas ) since 1950’s . I have a Mosley TA-33 WARC yagi an it’s built like a tank.
They been making 11 meter antennas since the beginning. Why they don’t market the Devant Special ? I don’t know.
Since...
You are right but if he wants the best of both worlds, there is always a trade off, that is to sacrifice performance for the convenience to use such antenna on both bands.
If you want an antenna that covers 11 and 10 meters without any tuning, go for the Sirio Gain Master.
Some antenna manufacturers say their antennas cover 11 and 10 meters. In reality, you must tune them by adjusting length. ( won’t work on both band at the same time with acceptable SWR) .
The...
As long as he don’t use more than 500w, Rg-58 will be ok.
Solid dielectric like RG-58 and RG-400 is the standard for this type of application.
Try to avoid foam dielectric if you plan to run the coax between any door. It won’t last as much as the solid dielectric.
I would install mine about 3 feet above the Mosley TA-33 WARC yagi.
The one on the picture, I think is is too close to the beam. Will there be any difference if I install it close to the beam against 3 or more above any yagi antenna ?
Hi guys. How about a Sirio 5/8 wave Gainmaster on top of a yagi? In my case, I have a Mosley TA-33 WARC antenna. Right now, there is a Sirio 827 antenna on top of the yagi, but, since a bird came to rest on top, lowered the tip and know it is resonant around 30 MHz, I plan to take the 827...
