I think I have gotten it working better how the smaller signals read a bit lower but the bigger signals are normal. Example on my other radios and I am getting a 7 on the radio I shows 7 how ever if some one is ,3 on the other radio it shows make between between1 and 2
What I realise I keyed my radio and it was on and it went to 30db...so strong signals seem to be coming in with very little signals..so I went on channel 6 I could hear the strong stations butsmall.signals then it goes quiet ..no static noise nothing when I check the other radio...
I came across a cobra 2000 .seems to be in very good condition. However it transmits very good on Am/Ssb. However almost no or very little recieve. If a radio is keyed near by it goes to 30db.
Any ideas
I have made some head way I took my magnifying glasses and saw a jump trace.the radio is receiving and transmitting on ssb and Am .the only challenge I have is no Am modulation
Just picked up a washington for $5 ..I was told not working what I have found ..the TX light switches when on ssb but not on Am.No output (will check finals) no recieve on Am however recieves perfect on ssb.I have some other parts from an old.142. Should I try to repair.does it.make.sense.i...
Only challenge I have is I can't get it go lower than2 watts dead key .I jumper the resistor I change the pot but still no change...any ideas how to lower my deadkeyba bit more maybe around 1 wattd
Yes it transmits on ssb.the Carrier is the same.all the time 6watts. Actually I mis type I am seeing 8volts ..I seem to be missing a ground. My reasons is I am seeing 8volts on all 3 tabs where the trim pot was remove
I I have a unidenWashington the vr 6 was removed and ran to the rf gain control. It doesn't vary.i checked and they is no voltage ant the pot or the board where the wires are connected. So I am not seeing the 8v.
