    Random Wire and MFJ-941e Question

The mfj balun is for balanced to unbalanced with a 4 to 1 impedance transformation.. Sorry got distracted with work ! This suits a balanced feed line, but the problem is it should be outside the shack with a clear run to the ant,( it's hard to run balanced line through windows or walls ,you...

    27.735 center freq. to get 10 & 11m??

Home made or purchased? Fatter the radiator the wider the bandwidth. I.E 1 inch tube instead of wire should do the trick. Or second suggestion, if you have to use wire ,is to extend the radiator to a 5/8 center fed and feed with a stub (gainmaster style) You can get the swr Down to under 1.2 to...

Antenna Analyzer vs SWR meter issue

Actually the sark is pretty good .Especially after you have done the multipoint calibration procedure as well as checked the frequency ! Of course it aint going to compare to the Bird.

Antenna Analyzer vs SWR meter issue

Could be as simple as a bad patch cable, or CMC on the line causing the swr to change with the additional length of the patch cable. ( so you better check that ground). What does the complex impedance look like? "J" value is pretty high I'm guessing. I agree with Mike. Trust the two analyzers!.

    TESTING AMPLIFIER OUTPUT ON YOUTUBE

The words honest and amp builder just dont go together in cb vernacular . I also believe correct use of a fist mic is to "close talk it" holding it sideways talking across the element not into it. And I tend to do the same with my D104 and other desk mics.Sit them on my desk turned side on...

    sy-27-4 sirio beam antenna

Id leave it at that. Resonance will go up a bit when you raise it from 10ft. Or as the guys say ,stand it straight up with the reflector a foot or two off the ground ( dont sit the reflector on the ground)to adjust. I sit mine on a plastic milk crate.
